"As a mother and Nutritional Consultant, I did not like many of the ingredients and imbalanced fats of the dairy and alternative ice creams that I have found. This is what put me on the road to developing Heaven Sent without those compromises. There is a lot of controversy over other, and much cheaper, ingredients being widely used, such as canola oil and carrageenan. Also, too much of a good thing is not a good thing, so we opted to use Rice Bran &/or Almond Oil with a healthy balance of poly and mono unsaturated fats. Our base has less that 3 grams of saturated fat per serving from Almonds. There is a lot being said about soy, both good and bad, so we opted against it. Your own and my families health are everything to us and we will not take chances by using ingredients that we think are questionable .… just in case. Though they may cost a lot more, we have opted to use health enhancing ingredients that are beneficial; nutrition at a cellular level easily absorbed and less likely to be stored as fat because of the high rate of utilization."

Because of its high mucilage content, slippery elm bark is soothing, strengthening and healing to most tissues by “calming down” any irritation to various tissues, protecting it so that it can heal.  As nutritious as oatmeal, it can be tolerated when other foods can not. Slippery Elm Bark Powder has been called a survival food.  The throat, lungs, urinary tracts, and intestines respond favorably to its properties. High in calcium it helps with nervous and emotional issues.
